Samsung Galaxy S4 Samsung’s flagship smartphone for 2013, the Galaxy S4 is available in the price range of Rs 28,000 to Rs 31,000, online and makes for a great buy if you’re in the market for a high-end smartphone. The phone comes with a 5-inch full-HD display and Samsung’s powerful Exynos Octa processor. It also runs the latest version of Android – the phone recently received the Android 4.4 KitKat software update. We’d even recommend it over the recently launched Galaxy S5, which is more or less an incremental upgrade. Gionee Elife E7 China based handset maker Gionee offers the Elife E7, a smartphone that comes with a great camera (16MP rear, 8MP front) and the latest hardware. It boasts of a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor and 2GB or 3GB RAM (with the 32GB variant), in addition to a 5-inch full-HD display. The 16GB storage variant of the phone is available for a price as low as Rs 23,300 on ecommerce websites. The only downside is the sluggish user interface of the phone and the lack of an external storage slot. Google Nexus 5 Google’s latest Smartphone, the Nexus 5 comes with the promise of regular (and priority) software updates. One of the major advantages of Nexus phones is the bloatware-free, stock Android user interface devoid of custom skins and services stuffed by device makers. The Nexus 5 boasts of powerful hardware, under the hood including a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor and 2GB RAM. It also features one of the most vibrant full-HD displays. The phone is available at a starting price of Rs 28,999 on the Google Play Store.   Motorola Moto G Motorola’s highly acclaimed budget smartphone is one of the best devices in its segment. The Moto G features an-almost stock version of Android 4.4 KitKat, the latest iteration of the OS. It offers great performance, ergonomically well designed form factor and a price, hard to beat. The 4.3-inch 720p display of the phone has great viewing angles, vibrant colours and good contrast. The battery backup offered by the phone is also good. It is exclusively available on online retailer Flipkart starting at Rs 12,499. Sony Xperia Z Sony’s year old Smartphone, Xperia Z, still makes for good buy. The first phone to feature Sony’s Omni-Balance design, the Xperia Z is water and dust resistant. It boasts of a 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro quad-core processor and 2GB RAM. The phone offers 16GB internal storage and a microSD card slot. The Xperia Z is also set to receive the Android 4.4 KitKat update in May. Launched at a price of Rs 38,990, the phone is now available on online retailers for as low as Rs 24,499. Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Neo The lite version of the Smasung Galaxy Note 3, the Note 3 Neo received a huge price cut and is now available for as low as Rs 32,000 on ecommerce websites. The phone comes with the S-Pen stylus and the same software features that are offered by its bigger sibling. Note 3 Neo is powered by a hexa-core processor and 2GB RAM. It features a 5.5-inch, 720p Super AMOLED display. The Note 3 Neo runs Android 4.3 Jelly Bean and the Korean version of the phone has already started receiving the Android 4.4 KitKat update.    LG Optimus G Pro If you want a big-screen smartphone, then LG Optimus G Pro is the best value-for-money device in the market. The device, officially priced at Rs 42,500, can be purchased online for Rs 27,000. The handset has a 5.5-inch Full HD (1080p) display, 1.7GHz quad-core Snapdragon 600 processor, 13MP rear camera, 2GB RAM and 3,140mAh battery. Other key features of the phablet are 16GB internal storage, 64GB microSD card support, 50GB Dropbox storage, NFC and Bluetooth 4.0.   Micromax Canvas Knight A350 Micromax Canvas Knight A350 is the first phone from Micromax to be powered by an octa-core processor. The phone features a 5-inch full-HD display and 32GB internal storage. It sports a 16MP rear camera and an 8MP front-facing camera. The dual-sim phone comes with a 2,350mAh battery. Priced at Rs 19,999, Canvas Knight is available for purchase on the official website of Micromax.
