YSRCP is strongly believed that Two MP Segments in Kadapa in its fold. Party announced its nominees (Rajampet – Peddireddy Midhun Reddy and Kadapa – Avinash Reddy) for a year back. Candidates visit the segments many times during the year. TDP and Congress are in search for the candidates and become late in announcing their names also raise YSRCP aspirations.
But political situation is changed now. TDP and BJP Candidate selection in both Segments generates tremor among the YSRCP leaders. No one can expect strong candidate like Purandreswari (Chinnamma) in Rajampet segment. Sudden entry of Chinnamma gave shock to Midhun Reddy. Purandreswari was success as Union Minister and has daughter of NTR. By this, she quickly goes into the voters. Purandreswari candidature helps all 7 TDP MLA candidates in Chittoor and Kadapa districts under Rajampet Parliament.
TDP President CBN did lot of exercise in selection of Kadapa TDP candidate. Finally, ex-minister Rajagopal Reddy son Srinivasulu Reddy (Vasu) will be announced as TDP candidate. Soon after announcing his candidature, Vasu get in touch with all seniors and dissident leaders and requested for their co-operation. He visited all 7 Assembly segments and trying to activate the YSRCP cadre. He also lodges the complaint to EC against possible rigging mandals. EC assured to give protection for TDP agents in polling booths.
