The Congress party has reportedly shifted party president Sonia Gandhi’s public meeting venue from Visakhapatnam to Guntur. She will be now addressing a public meeting in Guntur on May 2.
Though Congress leaders have on record said the venue was shifted due to a request from senior leader Kanna Lakshminarayana, the cancellation of Visakhapatnam meeting is now in the eye of political controversy.
Quickly seizing upon this opportunity, TDP leaders have started announcing that Sonia has decided not to address a meeting in Visakhapatnam only to cooperate with YSRCP honorary president Vijayamma, who is contesting for Lok Sabha from the port city.
TDP reportedly said this clearly exposes the deal between the Talli Congress and Pilla Congress saying this is being done only to salvage Vijayamma so that they can get YSRCP’s backing after the elections.
