The Anantapur police arrested Paritala Sreeram, son of slain former TDP MLA of Penukonda Paritala Ravindra, in connection with lashes with YSR Congress activists in Allakuntla village in Kanaganapalli mandal.
At Kanaganapalli election campaign, TDP and YSRCP workers clashed and eventually the law and order got disturbed. The police had detained Sriram for leading the TDP camp.Police have registered non-bailable cases against them and were produced in the court. The court has sent the 11 people to remand till May 16th.From few days Sriram has been relentlessly campaigning for the success of his mother, a sitting member in the constituency.Other side Sunitha mother of Sriram worried about her son and alleged that her son was arrested at the behest of YSR Congress Party by the police
‘My son is drawing huge crowds during his road shows. Opponents who were jealous about his following have been targeting us for no reason. They even plotted the murder of Sriram in Allakuntla village using bombs but by god’s grace he was escaped. Neither Sriram manhandled the police nor did he snatch the cellphone of a constable."She Said.
Sunitha alleged YSRC leaders Prabhalar Reddy, Chandu and Rajasekhar Reddy have been provoking Paritala Group ever since Sriram began campaigning .She reiterated her victory in Raptadu is unstoppable despite of efforts made by her rivals.
