PeddiReddy Ramachandra Reddy is strong leader and has lot of impact in Chittoor district. He resigned to the Congress and joined in YSRCP. Enmity with former Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy also forced PeddiReddy joined in YSRCP. He looks after political issues in Chittor district for YSRCP. He successfully led the party in last year Panchayat Elections in Punganur Assembly Segment.
Now he is contesting as YSRCP nominee for Punganur Segment. His son Midhun Reddy is the candidate for Rajampet Parliament. Jagan was announced Midhun Reddy candidature one year back. There are 7 Assembly Segments (Four from Chittoor and 3 from Kadapa) comes under Rajampet Parliament. Kiran’s Pileru is one of them. Though Kiran was not contest in this election, his brother is contesting as JSP nominee from this segment. Reportedly, Kiran used this as chance to hit back Peddi reddy. Kiran internally asked his followers to support BJP MP for Parliament.
Everyone is confident that Rajampet Parliament will go towards YSRCP. But announcing Purandreswari candidature from BJP pushed YSRCP into troubles. It will not much difficult to YSRCP to win Rajampet if Purandreswari is not candidate from BJP. People have recognized her as late NTR daughter and received her with wholeheartedly everywhere in the Parliament. In addition to that TDP has fielded strong candidates in 6 Assembly Segments. TDP is strengthening under this Parliament after Purandreswari candidature. It’s not cake-walk for YSRCP in Rajampet.
