The most talked about regional political party of Andhrapradesh state, YSR Congress is into a new trouble coming up now in both the states of Andhra and Telangana. As YSRCP failed to record majority and gain power to rule, it is left in a position now to stick only to the opposition party in Andhrapradesh. Though it had no hopes in the state of Telangana, still it could not get the number what the leaders had expected. YSRCP has 67 in Andhra and only 3 MLAs in Telangana state. Adding up to this is the threat and in a confirmed activity of the President of YSR Congress party, YS Jaganmohan Reddy going back to jail. Most of the analysts are into a feel that Jagan may be sent back behind bars with in a maximum period of three to six months as he is out just on a bail. At this junction, the MLA candidates who have just won see no other alternative to lead the party in the opposition. This is one major cause for them to be thinking of looking at the ruling parties to take a leap at the earliest for their future. In addition, YSR Congress party at present is just a registered party and not a recognized party. Thus, defection law would not be applicable to the members of the party now. This is also a tempting factor for the party’s newly elected legislative members to look at the other parties to safeguard their political existence. There is also an information coming in that the leaders of both ruling parties Telugudesam and Telangana Rashtra Samithi are into calling up and inviting them to join their party. Till time MLAs of Telangana have not shown interest into this, but the candidates of Andhra look to be tempting towards this act of leaping from the party. “If not a position, but atleast the status of ruling party” is what many are being attracted. TDP also is into lacking enough strength in the districts of Prakasham, Nellore, Kurnool and Cuddapah and the leaders of TDP from the respective districts are said to be in the job of attracting the YSRCP MLAs. Need to wait and see now how many would take a leap and how would YSRCP face this challenge!!!
