Four year old Mahi who was trapped in the borewell, in the village of Kasan near Manesar; from the last 4 days was lifted out of the pit, only to be found out that, she was dead by the time the rescue could be fruitful.
Sadly, she fell into the borewell on the very day of her 4th birthday i.e. 20th of June, while she was playing with her friends. Since then efforts were on to lift her out of the 70 feet deep borewell, which ended in gloom after 86 hours. The coordinated efforts of about 100 people; from the wings of the Government like the army, police, fire and health could not save Mahi; mainly because of the hard rock that had slowed down the rescue operation; thus consuming 3 days in breaking it up.
