As aware, Kolkata Knight Riders had taken a head to head with the Kings XI Punjab in the final of the IPL at the Chinnaswamy stadium, Bangalore. Punjab put in to bat first has given a huge total of 199 runs for four wickets with a crackling knock of maiden 115 from Saha and good support from Vohra with 67 runs.
Chasing the huge target of 200 runs, Kolkata had stumbled in the start, but the brilliant and power knock of 94 runs from Manish Pandey has led the team to the title for the second time. Good support was given by skipper Gambhir with 23 and fire brand Yousuf Pathan with 36 were key batting performances for Kolkata.
On the whole, this IPL had been finished with major contributions from the Indians. This had Pathan's super knock to bring Kolkata get into Final, Sehwag's blasting Century to get into finals beating Chennai Super Kings at qualifier and atlast the beautiful knocks from Saha, Vohra and Pandey. Robbin Uthappa was highest run maker and Mohit Sharme was highest wicket taker and these both are Indians again.
