Settlers from Andhra Pradesh who are in Hyderabad are not at all happy with TRS government. The reason is the untimely power cuts in the city since TRS came to power in the newly formed Telangana state. The capital city is reeling under heavy and untimely power cuts. Even during the scarcity periods, Hyderabad do not have more than 2-3 hours of power cuts. But many parts of the city is having 5-6 hours of power cuts and that too during the nights. People say power cuts are more in the areas where settlers are high. some are of the opinion that TRS government is taking revenge on them for being from Seema Andhra region. They say previous governments used to give power on a systematic basis to the capital but KCR government is taking the power from settlers and giving to their strong holds. However government sources condemn these as mere hate campaign against the TRS. They say the power problems in the state are due to technical problems in VTPS (Vijayawada Thermal Power Station) and KTPS (Kothagudem Thermal Power Station). As a result, nearly 1200 mega watts worth of power is lost due to this. The problem exists in both Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. The talks or revenge is purely imaginary.  The officials are hoping that power consumption comes down once the monsoons set in. Also they say the situation will take a couple of days to be brought under control at the least. On the other side, both the governments had ordered power cuts to industrial sector and give as much as power possible for the people.
