There is been an announcement stating July 3rd as the by-poll date for the vacant Rajya Sabha seat which is the only one from the Seemandhra region. As aware, Senior Congress politician and former Chief Minister of united Andhrapradesh, Nedurumilli Janardhan Reddy had recently passed away on 9th May. He was a sitting Rajya Sabha Member from the Seemandhra region of Andhrapradesh then.
As per the prevailing political scenario at the national level, it can be easily understood and concluded that the newly appointed Central Minister from the Bharatiya Janata Party representing Andhrapradesh state, Mrs Nirmala Seetharaman would be the final candidate for that position.
As aware, Telugudesam Party chief and Chiefminister of Deivided Andhrapradesh, Nara Chandrababu Naidu has also confirmed to extend his support for BJP and Niramala Seetharaman for that position. It is almost concluded now that the Union Minister of Commerce, Nirmala Sitharaman, would be the candidate from the BJP for the by-poll. To recollect she is the wife of Ex-politician Mr Parakala Prabhakar of AP.
As per the Election commission notification, filing of nomination papers for the by polls will commence from June 16th and continue till June 23rd. Scrutiny of the filed in nominations would be done on the 24th of June. 26th June is been declared as the last date to withdraw the nominations if any. If there arises a necessity to go for polls, it would be conducted on the 3rd of July.
