Internal bickering in the Khammam district unit of TDP have damaged the party prospects in the recently concluded elections. It is no secret that Nama Nageswara Rao and Tummala Nageswara Rao are leading two groups, virtually dividing the district party units into two factions. As each faction worked against the other, the party had to get content with just one seat. Bigwigs Nama Nageswara Rao and Tummala Nageswara Rao lost the elections. There were problems even from seat allocations. Taking advantage of these cat fights, TRS is trying to sneak their way in to the district. They tried hard to rope in Tummala in to their party even before the elections but some how Tummala did not go. But the differences between Tummala and Nama flared up after the elections with both the leaders blaming each other for their defeat. It is said that TRS had intensified their trials to tempt Tummala to board the car. It is said that they have given several tempting offers if he joins their party. Buzz in Khammam is that Tummala will be changing his loyalties. If at all it happens this will be a big blow for Telugu Desam party in Telangana. Thummala Nageswara Rao is one of the senior most members of Telugu Desam Party. He once served the State Government of Andhra Pradesh as a minister for Heavy Water Irrigation Projects and Excise as a ruling party member under Chandra Babu Naidu. He is a four time MLA and is known for his talent to get all government schemes to his constituency people even when his party(TDP) is not in power.
