Chief Minister CBN gave hints that would become capital of the state will be between Vijayawada and Guntur. This buzz is supported when he took oath from Nagarjuna University as Chief Minister. Earlier, Government did many surveys on areas for the new capital. Land procurement is very difficult for the Government from the private persons. AP Government is looking for Government lands to construct the new capital between two cities. As per buzz, there is no intention to shift Nagarjuna University. Reportedly, Amaravathi a historical and heritage place in Guntur district will be considered as Capital of the new state. Amaravathi is just beside the coast of river Krishna. Government has planned to develop the areas of either side of Krishna River by building Capital in Amaravathi. Government has not take much risk in getting land in this area. There are around 34K acres Government land exists among Amaravathi, Tadikonda and Achhampet Mandal. Road connectivity is more important to this region from Vijayawada. Government proposed to construct three bridges across the Krishna River for road connectivity. Land procurement is already done for the construction of bridge between Gollapudi to Mangalagiri. Another one is from Kanchikacharla to Amaravathy. Third one is from Nandigama to Achhampet. Due to that development took place two sides of Krishna River.
