The issue of fee reimbursement and how to fix nativity seems to be bothering the Telangana government very much. And sources now say that as expected earlier, the government led by CM KCR may not go with the criteria of 1956.
Earlier there were reports that the government may fix 1956 to identify genuine residents of Telangana but sources say that it has considered that option to be impractical as only employees have records and moreover it may cause inconvenience to Telangana students itself.
Sources also add that the government will most likely consider the year 1974 as cut off because according to experts, there were no serious flaws or violation of rules before this year and hence it can be taken as a benchmark for identifying genuine sons of the soil.
Any time, Telangana government is expected to make an announcement regarding the same and has reportedly made elaborate arrangements until Mandal level to identify Andhras who made Telangana their home after 1974.
