If Sania Mirza has been chosen as the brand ambassador for Telangana, then spicy food and the cuisines of Coastal Andhra and Rayalaseema districts would soon become the `brand ambassadors' of residuary Andhra Pradesh state. Sources say that in this regard many food festivals would be organized which is being seen as novel move to place AP on the global map. It is chief minister Chandrababu Naidu’s brain behind the idea wherein food festival is among the many innovative ways to market brand Andhra Pradesh. The special focus on food festivals is targeted at attracting tourists from other states and countries. Rayalaseema’s tremendous culture and rich food habits ranging from Raagi sangati, naatu kodi kura are being marketed. Shortly, Nellore district collector N Srikanth would be launching Flamingo Festival that would showcase sea food of coastal districts. In addition Kakinada kaaja, Atreyapuram pootha rekulu, Sajja burelu Alluraiah (Ongole) Mysoor paakam and Bandar laddoo including 100 varieties of prawn and fish dishes from AP is believed to floor anyone with their taste and varieties.
