AP and Telangana Police acted as per rules in providing security to the VVIPs in both states. Police Security was detached for 181 VVIPs in Telangana and 220 VVIPs in AP. Two governments have removed even gunmen for some VVIPs. Security has reduced for 35 VVIPs in Telangana and 20 VVIPs in AP. Earlier, there was no such instance that Government reduced the security for huge VVIPs at once.
In both states, Congress party leaders and former MLAs and MPs were affected with government decision. Security has withdrawn for Hyderabad brothers Daanam and Mukhesh, Damodara Reddy from Nalgonda. Former Telangana ministers Ponnala and Sabitha were also lost police security. Government decided to retrain Security to Jana Reddy predicting threat from Maoists. Security has reduced for TDP Leaders Errabelli Dayakar.
AP Government also followed in same path. Except some former ministers to whom threat from Maoists in the state, AP Government has withdrawn all security to political leaders. There is no security for entire YSR Family in Kadapa district. Vijayamma, Sharmila, Brother Anil Kumar and Vivekannada Reddy were exempted from Police Security.
