High Court gives new twist on Telangana Government’s much sponsored Survey on August 19th. State Apex Court leave the option to participate or not in the survey to the people choice. Here there is no compulsion. Telangana Advocate General made a statement that Government has no intention to gather the details of the people forcefully. High Court has agreed with AG opinion and gave some directions to the Government.
Apex court ordered Government not to ask personal details like Bank Account, PAN Number and Mobile Phone during the survey. Court also directed Telangana Government not to reveal personal details to the media. So far, people have opinion that it’s mandatory to participate in the survey. People from different places rushed to Telangana to participate. There are many apprehensions to the people of Andhra who are lived in Telangana.
Telangana Government failed to clear the doubts of the people. Asking PAN, BANK Account details and Nativity details causes troubles to the people. It seems that Telangana Government has no clarity on what it derives from the survey. It’s million dollar question how many people can voluntarily participate in the survey.
