As per the AP Commercial Taxes Gazette Officers Association, more and more business dealers shifted to AP after the division of the state. Its Secretary Srinivasa Rao is confident that AP would receive equal revenue through commercial taxes or even more revenue than Telangana state. He said that commercial department observed this difference within two months after the division. There are around 2K businessmen shifted to AP from Telangana and got registered their offices. Most of them have registered their branches in Vijayawada, Eluru and Guntur. Some prefers to go to Vizag, Tirupathy and Nellore. On basis of this, there are 300 dealers exist in one circle and 3K dealers in another circle. AP Commercial Taxes Gazette Officers Association demands for the increase of the manpower and circles as well in the state. Tax Collections haven’t properly done due to lack of sufficient manpower in the department. They expect increase of as many as 60 circles in the state. Government should look into this to fill the gap for generating more revenues to the state.
