Union minister of state for commerce and industry Nirmala Sitharaman has reportedly said during a felicitation ceremony in Vizag that though she is a daughter of Tamil Nadu she is the daughter-in-law of AP and said that the state is like a newborn baby.
She also announced that the much awaited special financial package for AP would be likely announced after a review meeting on August 25 by six-member committee, which has been appointed by the Centre to look into the issue.
She also reportedly extended her thanks to TDP's cooperation for supporting her nomination from AP to the Upper House, which she mentioned how it has now increased her responsibility towards AP state and its development.
There are many expectations from her and there are even reports that her husband Parakala Prabhakar being appointed as the media advisor for Andhra Pradesh government is a step in that direction by Naidu.
