With the AP government announcing this as capital city, sources now say all eyes are on the Vijayawada, Guntur, Tenali and Mangalagiri (VGTM) region. There are reports that Singapore builders are visiting area for forging tie-ups with local firms for erection of pre-cast green buildings for the purpose of fast-paced development.
Some firms have also reportedly given presentations for a select group of builders recently. The head of International Markets Department, Building and Construction Authority (BCA) along with couple of other firms are reportedly evincing interest.
They are keen on establishing testing labs for the construction industry. AP is all set to attract over Rs. 10,000 crore investment, and major construction firms across the globe which is now in preliminary rounds to chalk out their plans.
With the AP government already on the job for creating comprehensive plan for construction of capital, construction activity is expected to pick pace. There are ample opportunities for Singapore based builders, TDP Member of Parliament from Vijayawada Kesineni Nani reportedly assured them recently.
