The spate of rapes in India seems to be only on the rise with no visible end for this menace that is affecting the nation like never before. No one can forget the case of Nirbhaya, who was brutally gang raped in a moving Delhi bus in December 2012.
This had sparked nationwide outrage and also led to a law in her name. Now, another incident has sparked a shock. There are reports that a 33 year-old nurse, who had actually treated the gang-rape victim Nirbhaya in New Delhi’s Safdarjung hospital, was reportedly gangraped.
It is heard that she was molested by nearly seven men in Budhlada town located in Mansa district of Punjab recently. Sources say that both accused, Balwinder Singh Kala and Manwinder have reportedly been arrested on Tuesday night by the police of Mansa.
At the same time the police have reportedly said the woman had refused undergoing medical examination, a mandatory procedure for the purpose of confirming rape. The FIR reportedly mentions that the woman was raped for whole night at Gurne village.
