In a rather shocking decision, Opposition leader YS Jagan’s arrow YS Sharmila decided to leave the country and going to United states, to stay away from the political arena. Speculations reveal she is heartbroken with her brother who refused her decision of contesting from elections.
Taking upon herself the great responsibility of strengthening the YSR Congress Party founded by her brother Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy who was incarcerated for political reasons , Y.S. Sharmila Reddy undertook a mammoth walkathon tittled ‘Maro Praja Prasthanam’ from the Resting place of her father at Idupulapaya in YSR district to Ichchapuram in Srikakulam district.
Sharmila began her 3000 km walkathon amid milling crowds on Oct 18, 2012, when she confidently declared, “I am YSR’s daughter ; an arrow released by Jagan Anna. My name is Sharmila,”
Sharmila served YSRCP with conviction in the absence of Jagan and catapulted the YSRCP to win 16 Assembly seats in the bi elections . YS Sharmila sacrificed herself to the party for the sake of Jagan and walked thousands of Kilometers through her Padayatra but now she is heartbroken with Jagan and decided to go and settle-down in America.
Since Jagan came out of jail, Sharmila was not seen anywhere in family events, leave alone party meetings. Apparently, Sharmila wanted to contest from Kadapa or Ongole MP seat during the elections but Jagan rejected it.
