The formation of separate state of Telangana after a prolonged struggle deserves all the respect but at the same time after June 2nd, there has been only bad news for Telugu people on both sides.
Right from drought situation, gas pipeline blast in Andhra, washing away of Hyderabad students in Beas river to the current Hudud tragedy in North Andhra, there has been only bad news for AP and TS.
While Telangana lost access to good deal of power with bifurcation, AP lost Hyderabad. Although Telangana appeared revenue surplus due to Hyderabad tax income, now TRS government has officially admitted that taxes are now moving to AP.
At the same time, with bifurcation, even AP is unable to meet its challenges even with an able administrator like Babu. The intense drought conditions in both states and a spate in farmer suicides in Telangana has proved the contention of many that the semi prosperous Telugu people will be left with nothing after bifurcation!
