Bangalore, the Garden City, the Electronic City of India, the city which IT professionals, educationists, big institutions and cultural hubs call their home, and now, unfortunately, a city which has become the capital of crime against women in South India.Of late we have witnessed many brutal incidents that happened against woman in the city. In the continuing trend of horrific incidents in the city, a 25-year-old married woman was gang raped by two notorious knife wielding robbers, while two others videographed the act.As per reports a 25-year-old woman was gangraped by two men in Bengaluru's HSR Layout on 24 October in front of her husband and mother-in-law. The incident has come to light days after the family had reported it as robbery. As per complaint four goons entered the victim's house around midnight and claimed to be policemen who wanted to inquire about illegal sale of intoxicants.The robbers threatened the husband with the sharp-edged weapon after he opened the door and barged into their residence. Later, they tied the husband and the mother-in-law to a bed and two of the robbers gang-raped the victim. The gang also threatened the members with dire consequences if they approached police and locked the door from outside. After raping the man's wife, the accused also made the video of the dastardly act and left home .The family, initially, registered only a case of robbery, but later mustered the courage to report the gangrape incident, two days after the crime was committed. As per reports all the four robbers were arrested on Oct 31 at Chikkaballapur and charged under Section 376D (gangrape) of the Indian Penal Code.
