As per the Telangana bill, Union Government has given assurance to establish 11 nation level educational institutes like IIT, IISER, IIM, IIIT and NIT in Andhra Pradesh. As per the bill, state Government will provide land to the International Institutes but Union Government provides financial assistance to establish the institutes. Admissions in these institutes will be commenced from next Academic Year (2015). Union Government has formally given its consent as per the AP Government request. AP Government has planned to start classes temporarily in rental buildings in next Academic Year. IIT in AP will be established in Marlapaka near Tirupati. For the time being, Educational officials plan to start IIT classes in Annamacharya Institute of Technology. Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) would be established in Yerpedu mandal in Chittoor district. Classes temporarily start in 21 Century Gurukul for IISER. AP Government is in search for the buildings to start classes for IIM which takes place in Visakhapatnam. AP Government is also in search for land allotments in Kurnool for IIIT. NIT will be established in Tedepalligudem. Classes for NIT would start in 2015 in rental buildings. Except for NIT, students for all states have equal opportunity to get admissions. In NIT, 50% of admissions would go for local students. Once land allotment completed, Union Government has to spend 1000 to 1500 crores in coming 5 years.
