The controversy between the states of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh regarding parking of funds ended finally with chief secretaries of both the states who met to resolve this issue. They would be now writing a joint letter to banks. The letter would be asking them not to freeze the current accounts and release money as and when required. Earlier with each other state alleging that the other has been denying their share fought in public view requesting banks to freeze each other’s accounts. This was followed by filing of a police complaint against AP’s labor commissioner by Telangana police. Now the two states have realized that in case the current accounts are frozen, they would be unable to pay salaries to employees. And hence they have now allowed drawing of funds. It is an unnecessary exercise to see how both states fight and again resolve at the level of chief secretaries. All in all, once the funds flow happens smoothly then the tensions will ease and everyone can get back to their work.
