Telangana Government is seriously thinking of resolving the Power crisis in the state. Government ordered Telangana Genco to search possibilities of construction of another Power Project across the Krishna River. Jenco has submitted its report to Telangana Government. Reportedly, Genco believed that there is no possibility of constructing another Power Project on Krishna River in Telangana districts.
It also mentioned that the state has to produce the power with existing projects. There are 5 Power Projects exist in Telangana on Krishna River. Jurala Upper and Jurala Lower, Srisailam, Nagarjuna Sagar and Pulichintala power projects exist in on River Krishna. Pulichintala Project will produce electricity in a few days. Genco expressed that water level are same among the existing power projects.
Telangana Government wants to raise its voice on Power on South Indian Power Secretaries meeting in Delhi which will be held on 19th. Telangana Government seeks to bring the power from Chhattisgarh as early as possible. For this Government is searching for availability of alternative lines.
