In the year 2000, late YSR sent a team of 40 Congress MLAs which was led by present Vanaparthy Congress MLA Chinna Reddy to Sonia Gandhi and gave memorandum to create separate Telangana state. Now the same Chinna Reddy again raised his voice by dividing South and North Telangana in his statement. Chinna Reddy is strongly believed that TRS gave importance to Northern Telangana instead of Southern one.
Chinna Reddy find fault on TRS Government decisions are biased. TRS impose the traditions and customs of Northern Telangana on Southern Telangana. Chinna Reddy said that people of Southern Telangana doesn’t feel Bhatukamma as their festival. Chinna Reddy was elected to the Assembly from Mahabubnagar district. “Bonalu is the largest festival for Southern Telangana People.” said Chinna Reddy.
He also demanded TRS Government to change the name of Mission Kakathiya the programme to restore Canals in the state. Kakathiyas ruled Northern Telangana but not Southern Telangana. Chinna Reddy has suggested considering the name of the King who ruled Southern Telangana. Harish Rao requests Chinna reddy not to see the issue in bigger way.
