In order to make sure that the TDP remains ‘open’ and ensure that this advantage doesn’t go to BJP, AP CM and TDP boss Chandrababu Naidu is convincing his cadres to stop any hurdles. He is keen to welcome as many leaders as possible from other parties as possible.
Naidu is reportedly sensing that many leaders from Congress and YSRCP are willing to enter TDP but are unable to do so due to cadre resistance. As a result, they are opting for BJP as alternative option and AP BJP unit is more than willing to take them.
Now, Naidu is using an intelligent strategy to convince his own leaders saying they will not be any competition for them. Apparently, the current strength of 175 assembly seats in AP is expected to be adding another 50-75 by next elections in 2019.
Naidu reportedly clarified that cadre and leaders should be prepared to welcome some ‘big leaders’ into the party and there is place now to accommodate everyone! If the exodus happens as Naidu plans then TDP will emerge strongly without any challenge.
