Oil Country Turbular Limited (OCTL) management has decided to shift from Nalgonda to Krishnapatnam in AP. OCTL is located at Narkatpally in Nalgonda district. OCTL is the listed company in BSE (500313). The company is famous for Oil drilling and exploration activities in the country. Both known and hidden reasons are there to shift the company from Telangana to AP.
Workers in the factory are doing strike since November 10th onwards. Management said that we are facing operational issues from workers that affect our exports severely. Management has decided to shift to Krishnapatnam in AP. OCTL MD Shasidhar said that there was no positive response from Chief Minister KCR and other Officials even after we intimated our problems to their notice.
This is the known reason. As per buzz, there is another hidden reason for the shifting. OCTL is also worried about the supply of Power in coming summer in Telangana. Not only OCTL many other small and medium scale industries also have worried on power. Government declared one day Power Holiday in winter season and they predicted more and more holidays in coming summer. Telangana Government should take proper and appropriate steps to convince the industrialists in this regard to stop the industrial immigration.
