In Andhra Pradesh politics, the issue of who is number two has always been intriguing. When the great N T Rama Rao was Chief Minister, it was Chandrababu Naidu and when Y S Rajasekhar Reddy was CM, it was KVP Ramchandra Rao as the strong man.
Now Babu’s Deputy CM’s KE and Chinna Raajappa are there working loyally for him but they are still not number two, while at the same time although Narayana is aggressive, he is not the number two.
Political observers say right now, if there is a number two, then it is AP’s Media Advisor Parakala Prabhakar who has emerged as the right hand man for Chandrababu Naidu. Parakala is a staunch Samaikyavaadi and his wife Nirmala Seetharaman is a minister in BJP cabinet at centre.
According to close sources, when it comes to countering allegations by opposition parties, or involving in key policy decision, it is this former BJP and PRP man and a staunch United AP campaigner, who has also emerged as number 2 in the current tenure of Babu.
