Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) is all set to be bifurcated in the next one month, according to the managing director of the corporation J Purnachandra Rao. The executive directors' committee would be submitting its report to the Sheila Bhide committee, in the first week of January, which would be then submitting the report to the governments of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh over how to divide the corporation, before it could be forwarded to the Union government. However, sources say that completing the whole bifurcation of the corporation, that boasts of the world's largest fleet of buses, in a month, is considered impossible due to the row between the two states. The division of the corporation with many of its assets in Hyderabad, is also expected to be a knotty affair.
