After the bifurcation, it seems that students are interested to move to Andhra Pradesh from Telangana for studies. Drop-outs of the AP students in Telangana colleges are increasing. But it seems reversal in AP colleges. After seeing the stats of students in Government, Private, Engineering and Pharmacy colleges for 2013-14 and 2014-15 academic years, it is clearly visible the down trend in Telangana.
As per the stats, Telangana students have joined more in number in AP colleges for studies. It is interesting that those who are eligible for fees reimbursement in Telangana have joined in Andhra Pradesh are more in numbers. AP Students in Telangana have decreased drastically in 2015-15 academic year compared to last academic year 2013-14. There are many reasons for moving of AP students in Telangana to AP.
First is the reason of fear among the parents of AP students on future of their kith and kin. Telangana Government didn’t give any strong assurance to AP students in Telangana colleges. It is surprising why Telangana students joined in AP colleges by ignoring the scheme of FAST proposal.
