Uppuleti Keerthi Samata, the daughter of YSRC Legislator Uppuleti Kalpana booked under drunk and drive case. She along with another person was identified by cops while driving a Maruti Swift Dzire (AP 09 CU 9029) in alcoholic condition.
When intercepted by the traffic cops at NTR Bhavan, under Jubilee Hills police station limits on Sunday late night, she was tested positive when subjected to the breath analyser test. She was found to have consumed liquor in excess of permissible limits.
She was found with Blood Alcohol Content (105 mg/100 ml) against the permissible limit of 30 mg/100 ml. Though she tried to escape using the names of her parents, Cops didn't pay heed to her appeals at all. The police seized his vehicle and asked her to appear before the court on Monday.
Charges on drunken driving, under Sections 185A and 130/177 (MV Act) were slapped on her. She will have to appear for a counselling session at Traffic Training Institute and later he has to appear at the IV Metropolitan Magistrate Court, Somajiguda. The court will decide the penalty.
