CPI(M) will conduct review meeting on its political stand that followed so far in India in Hyderabad. As per sources, CPI(M) decided to go with alliance of Left Parties in National Politics and wants to maintain distance to non-left parties. CPI(M) had won just 9 MP seats and CPI had won 1 MP segment. Left parties have won 10 Parliament Seats in 2014. It is the poorest performance when compared to 24 MP segments in 2009 elections. CPI(M) vote share declined from 5.33% in 2009 election to 3.2% in 2014 General elections. It’s surprising that CPI(M) has won just 2 MP seats in West Bengal where the party ruled 34 years. CPI and CPI(M) were strong alternatives to the Congress party for Indian people after the Independence. Formation of regional parties in different states were diluted the importance of the Left Parties in Indian Political Scene. It’s very sad that both parties have lost their national status in Indian Political scene. Coming to two Telugu states, CPI(M) is the only party that maintains same stand in bifurcation of United Andhra Pradesh. CPI(M) was failed to take this into the people. There are rumors that CPI(M) has tried for alliance with YSRCP. Changing the alliance partners from Congress to TDP in two elections lost CPI(M) identity among the people. Stopping the BJP is the only that two parties unanimously agreed in National level. In the name of preventing BJP into power, Left parties are protecting the Congress every time. CPI(M) has to change its attitude. They support China on growth but Left Parties are against to the implementation of reforms in India.
