Well, finally there seems to be some good news for Andhra Pradesh government employees with the government finally lifting the ban for payments of salaries. The government has reportedly directed all the treasuries to pay salaries for employees.

This includes even the pensions on time to the retired employees. Until Thursday, there was confusion as the government employees were not clear whether they would getting salaries for January with AP reeling under serve financial crisis.

For the payment of salaries and pensions alone, government of AP requires nearly Rs 25,000 crore. The government would be crediting the salaries to the employee accounts by Saturday. This would come as a major relief to all the employees.

The government has also reportedly directed the treasuries to even pay some important bills. While the immediate issue has been sorted, some are also questioning on whether this process will continue without any further glitches or will the employees again have to face tension next month.
