What happens if someone supports you the most when unexpected and that too in an exaggerative manner. The same seems to be the case for Malayalis in Hyderabad whose population is growing steadily. And they were in for a surprise from their beloved CM.
Recently KCR attended a cultural event in the city which also hosted a minister from Kerala and in his usual style observed during last seven months, KCR immediately announced Kerala Bhavan in Hyderabad to be constructed with 1 crore and promised pucca houses for poor malayalis in the city.
When compared to other South capitals, Hyderabad is nowhere equal to Chennai and particularly Bangalore that have huge presence of the people from Kerala and there has been never any special focus on them by governments of such states.
According to estimates, Malayalis may comprise hardly 1-2 % of the city’s population and their numbers are rising especially in BPO industry. However, this sudden affection from our unpredictable CM is becoming unbearable for them to even digest.
