Criticizing at the Congress and the Telugu Desam for unwarranted condemnation of his government and strategies, Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao on Tuesday protected the government’s plan to prosper Hyderabad into the world’s leading city on the lines of Dallas in the US by making most use of its properties.

He claimed there was no future for other political parties in Telangana State but for the TRS, adding that his government would come back to power again in the 2019 polls by picking 135 to 140 out of the 154 seats after delimitation.

Rao did not spare Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and blamed him of hurting Telangana by preventing Krishnapatnam and Hinduja power to the state and generating other barriers. “Someone said yours is a Hitec City. I said yes. When there is rain, cars turn into boats and float here. That is hi-tech. You will see every year on TV, low-lying areas flooded with water during rainy season and women throwing out water with buckets from flooded houses,” he said.

Taking exception to reports in a part of media regarding sale of several government belongings, confusing reports on the High Court order on GHMC elections, an annoyed Mr Rao claimed that the government would make the best utilization of government lands and buildings in the city and outside for public good.
