Totally upset with meager funds released by the Centre on Wednesday, sources say that Andhra Pradesh chief minister Chandrababu Naidu reportedly spoke to Union finance minister Arun Jaitley.

Babu minced no words while explaining him that the amount which was released on Wednesday was insufficient and is not helpful for the state tide over the financial crisis.

Babu reportedly got an assurance from the NDA government that it would be releasing another Rs 1,780 crore within one week and another Rs 2,000 crore by the end of the current financial year for the residuary state of AP.

These funds includes 1,000 crore for building new capital in Guntur district while Rs 780 crore would be as a compensation for the loss of Central Sales Tax (CST) and Rs 2,000 crore for bridging the revenue gap. Naidu reportedly instructed Union minister and TDP MP Sujana Chowdhary to follow up with the FM.
