This is what is in the mind of Congress cadre? Tirupathy made mega star to enter into AP Assembly in 2009 general elections. Even though he lost in his own bastion (Palakollu), Chiranjeevi was received by Tirupathy voters. Now the former hero is just trying to ignore Congress party in this bi-election.
Chiranjeevi has maintained touch-me-not policy even he sustaining in Congress party. He neither did his attempts for unanimous at National level nor enter into political campaign for Congress nominee. But hero just neglected Tirupathy which gave political birth to him in AP politics.
Chiru has missed the opportunity to generate opinion among Congress cadre that party would rejuvenate after huge setback in 2014 general elections. Chinta Mohan is only one leader who took responsibility of gaining maximum votes to the party.
Voters in Tirupathy have not willing to participate in any general election for the segment. Except in 1983 (NTR as TDP nominee) and 2014, in all instances very nominal polling percentage was registered in Tirupathy. 70% of polling crossed in 1983 and 2014. In 2009 when Chiranjeevi was contested as PRP nominee 51.67% of polling recorded.
