TNGO President G. Devi Prasad who had played key role in Telangana moment and tried to solve the problems of Telangana employees might resigned to his job within two days. TRS almost finalized his name to the Graduates Constituiency MLC from Hyderabad, Ranga Reddy and Mahabubnagar districts. He is second NGO leader after Swamy Gowd to enter into the Legislative council.
Elections for two MLCs will be held on March 16th. Devi Prasad was interested to contest in last general elections to the Assembly but due to fearing of financial condition he dropped his idea to contest. He has pressure from both TNGOs and TRS to contest in the elections for Legislative Council.
Chief Minister KCR also requested Devi Prasad personally to contest in the elections. At last, Devi Prasad was decided to stand in MLC fight. He might resign to his government position on 24th or 25th to the Sanga Reddy office. Currently, he holds office as Assistant Technical Officer in Irrigation Department.
He has still 14 months (2016 April) left to retire from Government service. Devi Prasad has pressure from both Graduates Constituiencies for MLC. But TRS is in thought of fielding him from Hyderabad, Ranga Reddy and Mahabubnagar districts. TRS is believed that Devi Prasad impact should be there in coming GHMC elections too if he contests from Hyderabad, Ranga Reddy and Mahabubnagar districts.
