The recommendations made by the recent finance commission for the states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana is only giving mixed reviews and results from both sides of the divide. There is an urgent need for funds in the state of Andhra Pradesh due to the bifurcation.

Sources say that while AP CM Chandrababu Naidu is happy over the positive feelers which had come in for the soon to be announced budget through the 14th finance commission the TRS boss KCR is reportedly unhappy.

The CM of Telangana is upset that while Andhra Pradesh may get lion’s share of resources, the so called revenue surplus tag for TS is only gearing up to do more harm than good for the fledgling state.

KCR has expressed his angst with some close ministers and officials saying that while the state asked for at least 70,000 crore rupees, they have only allocated Rs.10,000 crores as a grant which is enough for salaries and other administrative expenditure.
