In an action that seems to be targeted at humiliating the TDP government in Andhra Pradesh, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has started on a mission to study the drought condition in the Rayalaseema region.

Two teams, now on a Rayalaseema tour, are slated to present a negative report to the party central leadership, a growth that is certain to raise the hackles of the BJP as the two political parties occur to be allies both in the state and at the Centre.

While one team, that involved AP endowments minister P Manikyala Rao and ex-Union minister D Purandeswari, is visiting Chittoor and Kadapa, the second one that has AP health minister Kamineni Srinivas as member is making the rounds of Kurnool and Anantapur district.

By the way, all these leaders belong from the coastal Andhra region. Purandeswari was involved in the team because she had contested the previous elections from Rajampet in Kadapa district.
