The essence and identity of the Bharatiya Janata Party has been on the decline over the past few years. Whether it is the lack of proper leadership or the lack of proper political agenda, BJP was the only party which had given a strong challenge to Congress at a national level but now it has been waning. It is usually considered that L K Advani is the senior most man for the BJP.
It is true to a large extent but as per political experts, the true Bheeshmacharya for BJP is Venkaiah Naidu. He is the troubleshooter for the party from many decades and is also known for his oratory skills.
But the way forward is going to be very difficult for Naidu. The 2014 elections are approaching and except Gujarat, none of the other states has got BJP’s flag flying high. Few expectations were resting on Kishan Reddy in Andhra Pradesh but unless Naidu comes up with a master plan, it would be difficult.
