Amid the fallout of a harrowing documentary into the gang-rape and murder of a 23-year-old student in Delhi, a new case bearing shocking similarities has emerged involving a six-year-old girl in the Ahmedabad state. The ghastly incident took place on Friday but it came to light two days later when the victim’s father approached police.
According to media reports, a 25-year-old security guard in the Sola district of Ahmedabad has been arrested for sexually assaulting a six years old girl. As per reports the man raped a 6-year-old girl by inserting a four feet iron road into her genitals. The girl was the daughter of the labourer who worked at construction site.The culprit was identified as Kaushal Chauhan who works as security guard near the construction area.
In police investigation accused Kaushal Chauhan said that he brutalised the girl to avenge a family feud. Police, however, have not believed the version of the accused.The culprit has been booked as per the new anti-rape laws and under relevant sections of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012.The girl has been sent to Sola civil hospital and her condition is stated to be stable.
