Generally opposition targets Speaker only to stifle the ruling party and the most serious step is calling for no confidence motion against the speaker.However this generally happens very rarely and once in three years. However after the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh, both Andhra Pradesh and Telangana are witnessing similar scenes in both the assemblies.
Speakers are becoming the target of the opposition in both Telangana and Andhra assemblies. YSRCP president Jagan Mohan Reddy already vowed that neither he nor his party MLAs will enter the house unless until TDP government led by Chandra Babu Naidu takes the no confidence motion against the speaker for discussion and calls them for the talks.
In Telangana assembly scene are no difference as T TDP leaders are pressurising Government opposing their suspension citing disrespect to the National Anthem. Except for MIM all parties demanded withdrawal of suspension on TDP MLAs. But with Speaker in no mood to listen, TDP is discussing with oppositon parties seeking their support for no confidence motion against the speaker.
In both the cases actions of speakers are not above suspicions. While AP speaker is not allowing opposition to speak,and selectively released the video clips of opposition disrupting the house,T speaker is also in a bipartisan manner selectively released the clips targeting only opposition leaders.
