Indirya Nooyi, the CEO of Multinational Company, Pepsico has come down to Andhra Pradesh today to participate in the inauguration of Pepsico new plant in Sri City. Before the inauguration, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu took her to Tirupati and offered a special darshan of Lord Balaji.
Indira Nooyi was given the blessings and Prasadam by the Pandits. The CM and Indira Nooyi also participated in the Swarna Radhothsavam of the Lord in Tirupati. Speaking to media, Indira Nooyi said "Wonderful Tirumala, Wonderful Chief Minister" indicating her happiness about the arrangements.Later they together inaugurated the Pepsico Plant and Chandrababu also laid foundation stone for 11 other units in Sri City.
The Sri City Pepsi plant is the biggest plant in the country for the company with an investment of 1500 Crore. The company makes Fruit drinks, soft drinks and sports drinks here and is expected to provide employment to 8000 people directly and indirectly. The company and its partners are planning to invest 33000 Crore in this plant by 2020.
