A 14-year-old girl was allegedly raped by two youths in Vizag for three days and the incident have sent shock waves among people. The victim was a Class VIII student residing with her grandparents at Tuni town of East Godavari district. As per reports from police officials the girl had a fight with her grandparents and she went to Tirupati around 10 days ago to meet a friend, Prasad (21).After staying in Tirupati with Prasad for five days, she returned to Tuni along with him.
At Tuni railway station, another person named Veerababu joined them and promised to drop the girl at her grandparents’ house but Prasad and Veerababu took her to the latter’s house at Thadiveedhi and raped the girl for three days. The incident came to light when the girl reached the window of house and shouts for help. Locals found her with her hands and legs tied and informed the cops.
Rape is the fourth most common crime in India and despite of having strict laws the atrocities on women was not coming down.The incident reminds us the Temper movie incident where a girl was raped by goons for days.While Veerababu was arrested at Anakapalli, cops have launched a manhunt for Prasad. Two Town police registered a case under Section 376, 366 of IPC, Section 3 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act as well as Section 5 of the IT (P) Act.
