Congress party which ruled the country for most of the time used Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) for its political ends. It used to threaten opponents by unleashing cases to make opposition leaders support them at crucial times. It conveniently used CBI to fasten or slow down the investigation process in cases on opposition leaders. Many always used to accuse CBI as Congress Bureau of Investigation.
CBI following wide spread
Now it seems Congress Bureau of Investigation is showing stars to Congress government in Karnataka. Congress Government headed by Siddaramaiah reluctantly handed over the investigation of suspicious death of IAS officer DK.Ravi to CBI following wide spread opposition and protests.
Karnataka government started
Even after handing over the investigation, Karnataka government started putting lot of restriction asking the CBI to report to them daily giving them investigation updates. CBI which turned furious shot a strong letter to CM Siddaramiah stating that those old fashioned days are over and they will never bow over to their pressure. CBI officials didnot even hear to Karnataka government's diktat asking them to confine their investigation only to Ravi family members.
CBI made clear that they will investigate not only Ravi family members but also sand mafia,real estate and many others.
