The domination of Chandrababu Naidu’s son and the scion Nara Lokesh seems to be cementing with each passing day in Telugu Desam Party. Now a leading national daily has reported that Lokesh has submitted a list of ministers to his father and CM Chandrababu.
He has reportedly asked that they should be sacked from their posts, the reasons being corruption, inefficiency and some closeness with YSRCP leaders. Babu is most likely to use this report as the basis for next round of cabinet reshuffle.
The reshuffle is expected to take place after May and this would be a delicate exercise at a critical time for Naidu. These ministers are surprisingly from districts which gave a turnaround for TDP in last year elections such as Ananthapur, Twin Godavari districts and Uttarandhra.
There are many angles to this situation and given Chandrababu’s experience, he should be able to handle it deftly. But if Lokesh has done the right analysis then there will be a certain shakeup among the TDP cabinet in Andhra Pradesh.
