The news regarding the proposed new capital of Andhra Pradesh is always in the limelight these days owing to the importance given to this by TDP government and a personal focus over this matter by CM Chandrababu Naidu.
It is a known fact that while Singapore is creating the master plan, Naidu has sought openly for donations to feed the new capital construction. The capital name of Amaravathi has struck a chord with many all over the world.
And this is especially with the Buddhist leaders and their main head Dalai Lama who lives in India as part of government in exile. There are reports that his holiness the Dalai Lama assured Andhra Pradesh officials that he can easily generate not less than 5000 crores.
This is for AP capital with his clout all over the world. However, he has reportedly stated that this is possible provided there are Buddhist monasteries built near existing Buddhist heritage sites of the region. Will Naidu oblige to that condition?
